What the coverage includes
A written warranty is issued with every qualifying repair, covering parts, labour and diagnostic time up to the original invoice amount, for 24 months or 24,000 miles — whichever comes first. The point of it is portability: the claim is handled by whichever member shop is nearest to you, not only by the shop that did the work.
Your invoice is the document that governs, and it states the coverage for your specific job. Some items — routine wear parts, and anything where you supplied the part yourself — fall outside it. If you are unsure whether a particular repair is covered, ask before the work starts rather than after.

Your manufacturer warranty is safe
Having scheduled maintenance done at an independent shop does not void a new-car warranty, provided the correct specification parts and fluids are used and the work is documented. We use the specified fluids and keep the records — see oil change and maintenance for how that is handled.

The part that matters is that it is honored by other shops in the Certified Auto Repair network, not only by us — so if a repair we did fails while you are travelling, you do not have to get the vehicle back to Tucson to have it put right.

Does using an independent shop void my new car warranty?
No. You are entitled to have scheduled maintenance performed wherever you choose without voiding a manufacturer's warranty, as long as the correct specification parts and fluids are used and the work is documented. We use the specified fluids and keep records of what was done and when.
