Everyone should be able to use this site.
We built it to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Below is specifically what that means here — and what to do if you hit something that does not work.

Tell us if something is broken
This matters more than the rest of the page. If any part of this site is hard or impossible for you to use, call (520) 623-1921 or email Mcelroysautorepair@yahoo.com. Tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. You can also just call to book — you never have to use the website to be a customer here.
What we have actually checked
These are measured, not aspirational:
- Colour contrast. Every piece of text on every page was measured against its real background, including text sitting on gradients. All of it meets the WCAG AA threshold.
- Keyboard use. Every link, button and form field can be reached and operated with Tab and Enter. Focused elements get a visible outline, so you can always see where you are.
- Skip link. Press Tab on any page and the first thing you get is "Skip to main content", so you are not walking through the whole menu on every page.
- Form labels. Every field you fill in has a visible label attached to it, so screen readers announce what each one is for. Required fields are marked with the word REQUIRED, not just a colour or an asterisk.
- Images. Every image carries alternative text, and decorative ones are marked so screen readers skip them instead of reading noise.
- Headings. Pages use a real heading structure, so you can jump through them rather than reading linearly.
- Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animations on this site switch off.
- Zoom and small screens. Pages work down to a 320px-wide screen and reflow when you zoom, without horizontal scrolling.
- Spanish passages are marked as Spanish in the code, so a screen reader pronounces them with Spanish pronunciation rather than reading them as English.
Where we know it falls short
Being honest about the gaps:
- The Google Maps embed on the contact page is Google's code, not ours, and its keyboard and screen reader behaviour is outside our control. Every page that uses it also gives the street address as plain text, and there is a direct "open in Google Maps" link, so you never need to use the embedded map.
- The reCAPTCHA on the service request form is also Google's. If it blocks you, call the shop and we will take the details over the phone.
Standard
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We test with keyboard navigation and automated contrast and structure checks across all pages whenever the site changes.
The phone always works
If the website is in your way, skip it. Call (520) 623-1921, Monday to Friday 8 to 5 or Saturday 8 to 1, and we will sort it out from there.
Talk to a real mechanic.
No call centre, no runaround. Tell us what the car is doing and we'll tell you what it needs — and what it doesn't.
