Bent, Welded, Dialled In

Custom exhaust in Tucson, built to your car.

Not ordered from a catalogue and hammered into place. We bend and weld here, which means the system fits your car, clears your suspension, and sounds the way you actually asked for — quiet daily driver or full hot rod growl.

Come See Us If

Something under there changed.

It got loud suddenly

A sudden change in volume usually means a hole, a blown gasket or a separated joint — a repair, not a rebuild.

Rattling over bumps

Most often a broken hanger or a loose heat shield. Cheap and quick if it is caught before the pipe starts hitting the floor.

Drone at highway speed

That resonance that makes a long drive exhausting. It is a design problem and it is fixable with the right muffler and routing.

Smell of exhaust in the cabin

Take this one seriously. A leak forward of the cabin can put exhaust gas where you are breathing. Get it looked at now.

You swapped the engine

A swap almost never lines up with a factory system. Fabrication is the practical route, and it is what we do.

You want it to sound right

A perfectly healthy car that simply does not sound like you want it to is a legitimate reason to walk in.

How a custom system gets built.

01

We ask what you want it to sound like

"Loud" means six different things to six people. Aggressive at throttle but civil on the highway is a different build than consistently deep everywhere. The conversation is the design brief.

02

The car goes up and gets looked at

Engine, existing system, ground clearance, suspension travel, spare tyre, fuel tank. Where the pipe can physically go decides much of the rest.

03

Pipe diameter and muffler chosen

Too big loses velocity and low-end response; too small strangles the engine. Diameter gets picked for your engine, not for the look of the tip.

04

Bent and mocked up on the car

Pipe is bent and fitted in place so clearances are real rather than assumed. This is where a fabricated system beats a universal kit every time.

05

Welded and hung properly

Welded joints and correctly placed hangers with the right isolators. Hanger placement is what decides whether you hear the exhaust or feel it through the floor.

06

Road tested and adjusted

We drive it. If there is drone at cruise, we deal with it before you take the car home rather than after you have lived with it for a week.

What the desert does to an exhaust

The good news first: Tucson cars do not lose exhaust systems to road salt the way Midwest cars do. A system here can last a long time, which is part of why fabricating a quality one is worth the money.

The bad news is heat and vibration. Exhaust runs hot everywhere, but here it starts hot — an underbody that is already sitting at 60°C before the engine contributes anything. That accelerates the failure of rubber hangers and isolators, which go hard, crack, and let the system move. A dropped system then puts stress on flanges and welds until something breaks properly.

Monsoon washes add the other half. Driving through standing water splashes an 800°F pipe with cool water, and that thermal shock is hard on welds and on catalytic converters. It is also why a system built with proper flex joints where the design calls for them outlasts one welded solid end to end.

Classics, hot rods and lowriders

Custom exhaust is where our classic car work and our everyday repair work meet. A '32 Deuce with a modern crate engine, a muscle car with headers, a lowrider that needs the system tucked up out of the way — all of them need pipe bent to fit rather than ordered by part number. More on that work on our classic cars and hot rods page.

We will tell you where the line is

Emissions equipment has to stay in place and working on vehicles that require it. We are straightforward about that up front, because a system that sounds great and costs you your registration is not a good outcome. There is almost always a way to get the sound you want inside the rules.

Common Questions

Exhaust questions.

Can you build an exhaust if there is no kit for my car?

That is exactly what custom fabrication is for. We bend and weld pipe on site, so the system is built around your car, your engine and your ground clearance rather than ordered from a catalogue. This is usually the only realistic option on an engine swap, a modified classic, or an older vehicle nobody makes parts for any more.

Can you make it louder without making it drone?

Usually, yes. Drone is a resonance problem at cruising RPM, not simply a volume problem, and it comes down to muffler choice, pipe diameter and where the system is resonated. Tell us what you want the car to sound like at idle and what you can live with at 70 mph on I-10, and we will build toward both.

My exhaust is just rattling. Do I need a whole system?

Often not. A rattle is frequently a broken hanger, a loose heat shield or a cracked flange — repairs measured in minutes rather than a full replacement. We look before we quote, and a repair that can be welded gets welded.

Will a custom exhaust affect my emissions test?

It can, and we will tell you up front where a given change stands. Emissions equipment including catalytic converters has to remain in place and functional on vehicles that require it. We build systems that sound the way you want without putting your registration at risk.
